“I may as well say this now,” she said as she unlocked the door, “I’m happy for Rachael, meeting you after such a bad time and we have already come to an arrangement that we are going to share you” I didn’t give away the fact that Rachael had already told me as much, “so if you feel weird about that, or you’re after a relationship or something then you can leave if you like, no hard feelings.”
I didn’t answer with words, I simply leant past her, pushed open the door and let her lead me inside, both of us smiling.
